Instruments: Piano, Violin, Guitar, Ukelele
I began my musical journey at the age of 6 when my parents inherited a very old and unique piano. I instantly connected with the instrument and my parents quickly started me on private lessons. In elementary school my dad told me stories about the musician Prince, who could play any instrument that he picked up. This greatly inspired me and I started studying the violin in 5th grade. These instruments were the starting point to years of orchestra, piano camp, music competitions, jazz combos and even a Mariachi band.
My favorite piano teacher taught me many valuable skills and was the one who encouraged me to start teaching at the age of 12. My clientele at the time were friends of my younger brother. Since then I have always come back to piano teaching between college, and full-time jobs. Upon moving back to Hawaii in 2014 I am constantly inspired by the sounds that embody these beautiful islands in nature and in the rich culture. It has motivated me to learn and write new music and even pick up the Ukelele! I am excited to continue guiding children and adults through the beautiful world of music here in gorgeous Oahu.
